This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard information in connection with the Clair Mind app and this website. As Clair Mind evolves, we may update this policy and will indicate the date of the latest revision.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Clair Mind, we may collect:

• Account information such as your email address and basic profile details.
• Content you create inside Clair Mind, including notes and other text you choose to store.
• Usage information such as device type, app version, and a small, fixed set of setup events used to measure how well onboarding works — see Analytics and session replay below.
• Subscription information such as your plan and purchase status, provided through our payments provider when you subscribe to Clair Mind Pro.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to operate and improve Clair Mind, including:

• Providing and maintaining the app and related services.
• Personalizing features and recommendations in the product.
• Monitoring reliability, performance, and security.
• Responding to support requests and product feedback.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate Clair Mind (for example, infrastructure, email, and our analytics provider, PostHog), strictly for the purposes described above and subject to appropriate safeguards.

5. Analytics and session replay

To understand where people get stuck setting up Clair Mind, we record a small, fixed set of setup events — which onboarding screen you reached, and whether you signed in, started a trial, or finished setup. These are tied to a random identifier created on your device when you install the app. It is not your device’s advertising identifier, and it is never shared with advertisers.

During onboarding only, we also capture a screen recording of the setup flow through our analytics provider, PostHog. Anything you type and any images are masked before the recording leaves your device. Recording stops the moment onboarding ends — before you reach your notes — so your notes, your Ask AI conversations, and anything you write in the app are never recorded.

None of this is used to track you across other apps or websites.

6. AI features

Some Clair Mind features are powered by AI. When you use them — such as Ask AI or your AI-generated feed — the relevant note content is sent securely to our AI provider (Google Gemini) to generate your response. This content is used only to fulfill your request. It is never sold, and it is not used to show you advertising.

7. Subscriptions and purchases

If you subscribe to Clair Mind Pro, your payment is processed by Apple — we never receive or store your card details. We work with our subscription provider (RevenueCat) to record your subscription status and entitlements so we can unlock the features you paid for. This information is used only to operate your subscription and is never sold.

8. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Clair Mind. You can request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain certain records.

9. Your choices
